Few cartoon characters have transcended animated entertainment in the way that this plucky little MOUSE created by Walt Disney has. Probably no other cartoon character has remained as popular and well-known as Mickey Mouse. He has become a symbol of the "happiest place on earth," of a hearkening back to childhood, and simply of the naive joy and optimism that define his character.
