The empress is the third TAROT and she is resplendent power incarnate with her EAGLE shield, CROWN, and scepter. But there are two sides to the empress, one that emphasizes the use of power to satisfy her vanity, and the other that uses power to rule justly. She symbolizes female nature in its entirety idealism, gentleness, persuasiveness, but also weakness.
